Assassin’s Creed II: Lineage, is a short film series inspired by the game.The three short movies willl focus on the story of Ezio’s father, Giovanni Auditore da Firenze, and will be a prelude to the Assassin’s Creed II storyline, offering insight into the Assassin’s Creed II storyline and characters. |
The first of the short films will be available October 26, with the final film to arrive ahead of the game’s release date on November 17

When the Duke of Milan is brutally murdered, the Assassin Giovanni Auditore is dispatched to investigate. The answers he uncovers implicate Italy’s most powerful families reaching all the way back to the Vatican itself. As Giovanni draws closer to the truth, he becomes hunted himself. He must expose the conspirators before he joins their ever growing list of victims.
Ubisoft revealed that Assassin’s Creed 2 will start at the moment part 1 ended.

… Pursuing Sforza’s assassin’s, Giovanni arrives in Venice where he intercepts a coded letter from the members of the conspiracy. Decoding this document in order to get to the top of the conspiracy becomes of extreme importance.
